Awareness of Mental Health, Dementia & Learning Disability Online Training
This online training course covers a range of topics relating to awareness of mental health, dementia & learning disability within the healthcare industry, such as types of dementia and barriers to disability. Your role may not include providing direct support to individuals with mental health problems, dementia & learning disabilities but having an awareness of the experiences of others can help you to identify any signs and symptoms as well as enabling you to work in ways that show compassion and understanding. If your organisation provides care and support for individuals with mental health conditions, dementia or learning disabilities, further specialist training should be provided. This will help you to deepen your knowledge and develop your skills and abilities to meet the needs of your role.

The Care Certificate:
- Understanding the needs and experiences of people with mental health conditions, dementia or learning disabilities.
- Understanding the importance of promoting positive health and well-being for an individual who may have a mental health condition, dementia or learning disability.
At the end of the training there are a number of multiple choice questions, based on the course content, which must be answered correctly to pass. If you answer any of the questions incorrectly, you are given the opportunity to retake the course and successfully complete the test to receive your certificate. There is no time limit on completing this course
