   • Venipuncture and IV access techniques
   • Blood product administration procedures
   • Calculation of infusion rates and adjusting for patient needs
   • Use of infusion pumps and monitoring devices

4. Special Considerations in Blood Transfusions:

   • Pediatric and neonatal transfusions
   • Transfusions for patients with specific medical conditions (e.g., anemia, bleeding disorders)
   • Transfusion alternatives and therapeutic apheresis

5. IV Solutions and Fluid Management:

   • Types of IV solutions (isotonic, hypertonic, hypotonic)
   • Indications for different types of IV solutions
   • Calculating and adjusting fluid rates
   • Monitoring and managing fluid balance

6. Complications and Troubleshooting:

   • Recognizing and managing common complications (e.g., infiltration, phlebitis, extravasation)

7. Documentation and Legal Considerations:

   • Proper documentation of blood transfusions and IV therapy
