This online training course covers a wide range of topics relating to COSHH within the healthcare industry, such as routes of infection, individual workers responsibilities and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment). These diseases cost many millions of pounds each year to industries, society and individuals. Since 2009, new international symbols have been gradually replacing the European symbols. Some of them are similar to the European symbols, but there is no single word describing the hazard.

    • Define the responsibilities of employees concerning hazardous substances.
  8. Risk Assessment:

    • Detail the COSHH risk assessment process.
  9. Control Measures:

    • Identify various control measures to mitigate risks associated with hazardous substances.

    • Familiarize with symbols used to represent hazardous chemicals.

The course will take approximately one hour to complete, and at the end of the training there are a number of multiple choice questions based on the course content, which must be answered correctly to pass the course and receive your certificate.
