Adult Basic Life Support Level 1 & 2 Online Training Module:

  1. Recognition of Cardiorespiratory Arrest:

    • Ability to recognize signs of cardiorespiratory arrest.
  2. Emergency Help and Protocols:

    • Knowledge of summoning immediate emergency help as per local protocols.
  3. CPR Initiation:

    • Skill in starting CPR using chest compressions.
  4. AED Operation:

    • Ability to locate and operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  5. Guidelines and Resuscitation Policies:

    • Understanding of national guidelines and local resuscitation policies.
  6. Response to Clinical Deterioration:

    • Recognition and response to patients with clinical deterioration or cardiorespiratory arrest, escalating care per local policy.
  7. Emergency Response Initiatives:

    • Ability to initiate an appropriate emergency response, including management of choking and the use of the recovery position, following Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines.
  8. Effective Chest Compressions:

    • Skill in initiating and maintaining effective chest compressions in alignment with Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines.
  9. Basic Airway Management:

    • Ability to provide basic airway management, ensuring an open airway.
  10. Lung Ventilation:

    • Skill in initiating and maintaining effective lung ventilations following current Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines.
  11. AED Operation Safety:

    • Knowledge of how to safely and appropriately operate an AED.
  12. Role and Responsibilities:

    • Understanding of individual roles and responsibilities in responding to persons in emergency situations.
  13. Reporting and Recording:

    • Understanding individual responsibilities in accurately reporting and recording details of an emergency event.
  14. Resuscitation Interventions:

    • Recognition of the importance of undertaking resuscitation interventions within personal capabilities and the context of previous training.
  15. Do Not Attempt Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (DNACPR) Policy:

    • Knowledge of applying the local DNACPR Policy within the clinical context.

Certificates are included.

Course Duration 1 Hour.

This Training module will be available for 6 months to complete from date of purchase.
